About me

Hello everyone! My name is Laura and I am from Birmingham. I have a great passion for writing D&D guides, browsing the internet for newly launched brands and also playing poker. I am also in charge of providing you with the best reviews for casino and betting sites, here at Mr-Bingo.org.uk.

As far as gambling is concerned, it all started after a couple of poker sessions with my university classmates and maybe even before that since I was accompanying my grandmother to her favourite bingo nights at the community centre and saw everyone having a blast. Realizing the thrill and excitement that the games can give you and hearing some of my friends, who were visiting the casino, talk about what great fun it was, led me to give online casinos (since I never really fancied the idea of going to an actual one) a shot. And boy, were they right!

Although poker is my go to choice, I enjoy and have played almost all games that you can find online both for fun and also for research purposes! As a result, and through the years, I have gained a great understanding of how online games work, which ones can give you the best possible results and also which are the ones that you should stay away from.

Finally, when it comes to sports betting, my prior work experience as a sports journalist for various columns and the local press, has come in handy. Although I never really thought that I would be writing about sports betting, I can assure you that my meticulous research and ways of gathering all the information needed has never changed. Hence, I will provide you with everything you might want to know.

I greatly enjoy sharing my findings with you here on the site and I hope that you will all benefit from them one way or another!

Education and Professional Career

Since writing has always interested me greatly, after high school, it was only natural for me to pursue a degree in Journalism. For that reason, I enrolled for a Journalism degree at Birmingham City UniversityHaving graduated and coming from a family where everyone, including me, plays sports, it felt natural to go on to pursue a career in sports journalism. So, I got myself a part time job as a sports journalist ,at Birmingham Live, while at the same time studying for a Masters in Sports Journalism at St Mary’s University in London. When I got my degree, my journalistic journey really began and I started working full-time for various columns , such as Birmingham World and Express & Star.

These days, I work as a part time sports journalist and also as a reviewer here at Mr Bingo.org.uk

Why Did I Choose to Work in Gambling

To be honest with you, the idea of working in this sector came pretty easily to me. Due to the nature of my job, I used to spend a lot of time online, reading articles and other people’s reviews, to make sure that I am always up to date.

So, after realizing how much I enjoy playing and also learning about poker and online casino games in general, I decided that it would be a great idea to combine my two passions and inform others about my findings.
